New Products Unveiled at AAOS 2019 Annual Meeting, Booth #1454
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 11, 2019) – Exactech, a developer and producer of bone and joint restoration products and biologic solutions for extremities, knee and hip announced today its lineup of new products designed to improve outcomes for joint replacement patients and streamline the surgical process for orthopaedic surgeons. The latest Exactech innovations will be showcased at the company’s educational exhibit at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) 2019 Annual Meeting, Booth #1454, March 13-15, in Las Vegas, Nev.
The Exactech innovations and educational opportunities at AAOS are featured on the company website and include the following:
ExactechGPS® is the only computer-assisted surgical technology that supports both shoulder and knee arthroplasty. Software updates enhance the compact, surgeon-controlled system while a new consignment model eliminates the capital purchase process, making the latest innovations even more readily accessible to surgeons.
Truliant® Total Knee System, an award-winning primary and revision knee system designed for an efficient and reproducible experience, now offers porous implant options for surgeons who prefer a non-cemented approach. Truliant seamlessly integrates with the ExactechGPS computer-assisted surgery system, featuring simplified software, ergonomically-designed instrumentation and an updated ExactechGPS TKA Plus Application.
Equinoxe® Platform Shoulder System expands its offerings with full launch of the Preserve Stem and introduction of the Stemless Shoulder and Small Reverse. The Equinoxe Planning App, which immediately reconstructs the patient’s scapula in 3D, enables surgeons to plan implant selection and placement prior to surgery. The ExactechGPS Shoulder Application supports surgeons from preoperative planning through real-time execution.
Alteon® Platform Hip System features implants and instruments designed for intraoperative flexibility and simplicity. Surgeons will be available to share early results with the Alteon HA Femoral Stem. Hydroxyapatite (HA) coating has been shown to provide the potential for long-term fixation. The system features reduced stem lengths, incremental stem sizing and proportional neck geometry with a broach-only technique that offers flexibility to accommodate various surgical approaches.
Complementing our biomechanics-driven Vantage® Total Ankle System, the customizable disease state-specific EPIC foot and ankle reconstruction case further expands Exactech’s new lower extremities portfolio.
InterSepTM is a 100 percent synthetic calcium sulfate bone void filler engineered to fully resorb and replace bone during the healing process. InterSep may be used in an infected bone site and provides flexibility with bead and paste options.
Scientists and surgeon consultants are scheduled at the Exactech booth to share their experiences with the company’s products. Attendees may also learn about Exactech’s patient education and practice marketing programs.
According to Exactech CEO David Petty, “For 30 years, the things that have made Exactech stand out from the competition have remained the same – our surgeon focused culture and patient driven innovations. Now, we’re investing even more in delivering solutions to benefit patients.”
A year after joining Exactech as Co-Executive Chairman, industry veteran Jeff Binder said, “Exactech’s people, products and pipeline have exceeded my expectations. I’m further encouraged by surgeons’ acceptance and validation of our technologies, and continue to see excellent opportunities for growth.”
